About this site

Advertising disclosure

How advertising works on the site and how we keep it separate from our guides.

Quick answer

Accident Claim Facts is funded by display advertising. Every ad sits in a panel labelled "Advertisement", ads never look like our content or navigation, and advertisers, including law firms and insurers, have no say in what we write. We do not sell rankings, placements or referrals.

How ads appear#

Ads appear only in fixed panels labelled "Advertisement": after a page's quick answer, in the middle and at the end of long guides, and in one side panel on large screens. There are no ads on our policy pages. We never ask you to click an ad.

Who advertises#

Ads are served by Google AdSense and may come from personal injury law firms, legal referral services, auto insurers, medical and rehabilitation providers and others. An ad is not a recommendation. Before hiring any lawyer, check their license with your state bar.

What advertisers cannot do#

  • Choose, write, review or change our content.
  • Pay to be listed, ranked or recommended.
  • Receive your personal data from us.

Questions people ask

Do you earn money when I contact a lawyer?

No. We do not take referral fees and do not pass your details to anyone.

Are law firm ads checked?

Ads are screened by the ad network under its policies. They are paid advertisements, not endorsements.
